FIELD: agricultural and mechanical engineering; storage of loose materials; prevention of hand-ups in process of material discharge from hopper of stationary or mobile storages. SUBSTANCE: loose material bridge breaker for hopper has vertically installed rod with fitted on bushings. Bridge breaking member in form of screw conical springs are mounted on bushings. Springs are arranged at different levels and are rigidly secured by one end on hopper walls and by other end, on bushings. Bushings are adjusted in height and are secured on rod. Consists of separate sections connected by flexible members, for instance, by springs, and is suspended from springs. Coils of bridge breaker springs, expanding, move upwards and strike against loose material bridge thus breaking the bridge. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking. 1 dwg
