FIELD: insulation materials. SUBSTANCE: heat-insulation articles, in particular, mineral-fiber shells for pipe heat-insulation, are manufactured by preparing wet clay-fiber mass, modeling, and heat treatment. According to invention, modeling is performed using centrifugation technique and drying is conducted at 140-160 C for 30-60 min. EFFECT: increased productivity and improved quality.
