FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes new herbicidal derivatives of general formula (I): wherein Z is oxygen atom; R¹ and R² are each independently hydrogen atom or C₁-C₈-alkyl, C₂-C₈-alkenyl, C₂-C₈ alkynyl, C₃-C₆- cycloalkyl, (C₃-C₆-cycloalkyl) C₁-C₈-alkyl, C₁-C₆-alkoxy, phenyl, C₁-C₈-alkylamino, C₁-C₆-dialkylamino or phenylamino group, each group being optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms or C₁-C₄-alkoxy or cyano groups, or R¹ and R² are together C₂-C₆-alkylene, provided that only one from R¹ and R² is optionally substituted C₁-C₆-alkoxy, C₁-C₈-alkylamino, C₁-C₆-dilalkylamino or phenylamino group; R³, if present, is C₁-C₄-alkyl group; R⁴ is C₁-C₄-alkyl or phenyl, phenyl group being optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms; R⁵ and R⁶ are each independently hydrogen atom or C₁-C₄-alkyl, C₃-C₆-cycloalkyl or phenyl, each group being optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms, and n is 0 or 1. Present invention also describes preparation of said picolineamides, intermediate compounds prepared by synthesis of such compounds, and compositions comprising these compounds, and use thereof as herbicides for controlling undesired vegetation.
