FIELD: hosiery production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has ejector 38 and grasping hook 38A fixed on ejector end. Ejector 38 is displaced in axial plane of symmetry to come in contact, by means of grasping hook 38A when it is in intermediate position, with partial initial rows M1 of loops of pocket and to feed them loop by loop to side opposed to arced part defined by working needles, while knitted fabric is gradually formed. Apparatus is further equipped with casing formed as shaped ring 18 disposed within needle cylinder and provided with radial recess 22 for receiving ejector 38 and radial recesses 24 in zone opposed to mentioned arced part. Hooks 60 are movable within recesses 24 between consealed position and lifted position so that rodlike ends 62 of hooks 60 enter knitted fabric along leading edge M1, when this edge is fed by ejector 38 to side opposed to side with mentioned arced part, and gradually shift initial rows of loops to needles, which are lifted to enter knitted fabric and come into contact with mentioned row of loops. EFFECT: increased efficiency by correct transfer of knitted fabric from needles defining one arced part to needles of auxiliary arced part. 6 cl, 28 dwg
