FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method can be employed at mining enterprises and in construction field for protection of water streams from fouling by filtration effluent and waste from industrial plants. According to method, erected are water-barring dikes which are provided with spillway structures. In addition following procedures are undertaken: delivery of clayey hydraulic slurry of benefication tailings, settling of solid phase from sedimentation, evacuation of clarified water, application of sediment to surface being screened, Also included are following operations: treating of clayey hydraulic slurry by solution of flocculent with rate of application being equal to 2-10 g/cu.m with subsequent mixing for separation of created flocs from sediment. Mixing of clayey hydraulic slurry with flocculent is carried out at velocity gradient of 10000-40000 s-1. Prior to adding flocculent to clayey hydraulic slurry, introduced is coagulating agent which regulates pH of medium to value less than 6.5. In sediment being formed, regulated is proportioning of solid and liquid phases: S:L = 70-80: 30-20. Application of sediment to surface being screened is effected at pressure of 2-4 atm. Flow-line for realization of aforesaid method for creation of counterfiltration screen comprises successively arranged water-barring dikes, spillway structures, reagent station, mixer and flocculation unit, guiding device for transportation of mass flow of flocs, settling structure, pumping station for withdrawing clarified water. Also included in flow-line are following components: flow rate regulator of clayey hydraulic slurry which is installed before mixer and flocculation unit, device for delivery of coagulating agent which connects reagent station with mixer and flocculation unit, device for transportation and application of sediment which incorporates successively interconnected: sediment take up unit, dredge pump, and hydraulic giant which is adapted for circular turning. Guiding device for transportation of mass flow of flocs is provided with pipe unit for branching out clarified water. Application of aforesaid method and equipment allows for enhancing reliability of counterfiltration screen together with reduction of cost in carrying out mining operations.
