FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: strain Pseudomonas species 17-2 is isolated from wild cereals rhizosphere growing in Novosibirsk district forest steppe and deposited in NII KKM GNC VB "Vector" at N B-696. For the preparation preparing the strain is cultured in LB medium containing the following components, g/l: peptone, 10.0; yeast extract, 5.0; sodium chloride, 10.0; and water, up to 1.0 l for 16-18 h at 28-31 C to concentration 5 x 1010 cells/ml and obtained suspension is used for treatment of plant seeds. Preparation obtained on the basis of this strain ensures to stimulate plant growth and inhibit the growth of phytopathogenic fungi of genus Alternaria, Bipolaris, Fusarium.
