FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: method for making from sheet material stepped wide-flange parts rectangular in plan view comprises stages of successive drawing operations whose number is equal to number of part steps; realizing said operations beginning from drawing portion with less length and width values in plan view; determining value of angular radius of each step according to given relation; after each drawing if it necessary decreasing value of angular radius of step until radius value of ready part by sizing process; acting upon step by efforts normal relative to symmetry axis. Apparatus for sizing parts includes punch, holder, two pairs of sizing pushers and wedges. Pushers have sizing and inclined surfaces. Wedges engage by their inclined surfaces with inclined surfaces of pushers. Pushers of each pair move in opposite directions along axis normal relative to part axis. Motion axis of one pair of pushers is inclined by angle 90 degrees relative to motion axis of another pair. Pushers are movably joined with holder by means of cylindrical rods.
