FIELD: metal working, possibly automatization of turning non-rigid parts with use of automatic control systems. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring elastic deformation degree of part and applying tension effort along lengthwise axis of part. Novelty is change of voltage applied to inlet of electric motor unit as function of elastic deformation of part and of additionally measured values of tension effort and tension speed for providing respective change of angular or linear motion in outlet of said unit and transforming it by means of tension mechanism to axial tension effort applied to part. Apparatus for performing the method includes tension effort mechanism, controlled transducer, pickup, elastic deformation setter and comparators. Apparatus also includes unit for extracting modulus, non-linear elastic deformation regulator, tension effort sensor, electric motor unit, speed pickup, speed setter and speed regulator, initial tension effort setter, adder and tension effort regulator.
