FIELD: communication devices. SUBSTANCE: method involves detection of output signal envelope, by calculation of square root of sum of squares of each signal of pair of Hilbert conjugation signals, using signal resulted from detection of output signal by means of multiplication of its instantaneous frequency by factor of K-1, division of input signal by resulted envelope of output signal, generation of output signal with frequency which is less than frequency of input signal by factor of K, by means of addition signals each of which is produced by multiplication of corresponding said pairs of Hilbert conjugation signals. Corresponding device has phase shifters, adder of single-band modulator, envelope demodulator, two multipliers, divider of analog signals and unit for multiplication of instantaneous frequency by factor of K-1. EFFECT: increased quality of wide-band signal transmission due increased precision of analog frequency division, minimal personnel costs, decreased noise for railroad operations. 2 cl, 1 dwg
