FIELD: space engineering; holding objects on outer surfaces of rockets and spacecraft. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in securing objects on bearing base in folded state and release at rated moment for performing programmed functions, including turn of object to working position; release is effected at break-out and removal of bearing base in direction which does not coincide with directions limited by couplings in locking devices in securing the objects. Device for holding the objects includes attachment units on rocket and spacecraft; securing on rocket is effected by means of locking devices made in form of rods inserted in matrices; thus, locking devices are rigidly secured at orientation of longitudinal axes of rods and matrices in direction of separation of rocket and spacecraft; provision is made for guaranteed clearances in locking devices between rods and matrices at moment of release. Several versions of device are proposed. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of release of objects. 7 cl, 6 dwg
