ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2131153 C1

FIELD: contactors, relays, and other electromagnetic devices supplied with power from variable- polarity sources. SUBSTANCE: drive has three symmetric magnetic systems in two symmetry planes and magnetic-system coils. Moving parts of magnetic systems are mechanically intercoupled. Their fixed parts are mounted on common base so that some of symmetry planes of magnetic systems coincide and form longitudinal symmetry plane of drive and other planes are arranged symmetrically relative to transverse symmetry axis of drive. Some of series-connected coils of symmetrically arranged magnetic systems are connected through rectifier to one of power supply terminals and other coils are connected through their opposite leads to other terminal of power supply and to rectifier so that increase in inductance of these coils reduces current consumption and increase in inductance of coils on other magnetic systems reduces amplitude of harmonic components in them. EFFECT: reduced mass and size of drive, reduced power requirement. 2 cl, 1 dwg
