FIELD: insect control devices which may be used in homes and industrial premises. SUBSTANCE: cockroach trap has casing with side openings, insect catcher formed as sticky surface on casing base. Attractant source positioned on sticky surface is formed as cardboard impregnated with flavor-aromatic substances emitting odors of seed-bearing fruits and crustaceous and smoke products. Sticky surface of insect catcher is made from 50-230 micron thick layer of entomologic glue. Ratio of flavor-aromatic substance weight and sticky surface area is within the range of 1:60 - 75 mg/sq.mm. Method involves providing laminated insect catcher manufactured from polymeric substrate, entomological glue and temporary protective coat positioned one onto another and onto casing base; putting attractant source on insect catcher upon removal of temporary protective coat. Mylar film with acrylate adhesive and silicone paper applied to its reverse side is used as polymeric material for substrate.
