FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying light biomicroscopic examination to determine tumor movability relative to sclera. Ultrasonic biomicroscopic examination is additionally done to determine depth of neoplasm propagation into sclera. Propagation depth making up to 2/3 of sclera thickness, neoplasm removal with layer-by-layer sclerectomy is considered to be indicated. The value being equal to or greater than 2/3 of sclera thickness, neoplasm removal with penetrating sclerectomy is considered to be indicated. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
