FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: coupling device is installed at one side on front module and at other side, on rear module. Device has member stable in two positions which makes it possible to hold coupling device nondeformable in member cut-in position and change it over deformable position for cutting out the member when the latter does not transmit control motion of rear module or to rear steering axle for single vehicle or articulated vehicle formed by at least front module and rear module hinge-connected directly by swivel joint or by means of intermediate module on which axle is installed. Coupling device provides changing over from one control version provided by steering system built into said vehicle to other control version provided by use of guide means and rollers.
