FIELD: defensive technology. SUBSTANCE: method of protection of warhead of tandem ammunition consists in shielding of basic shaped charge of warhead against action of leading shaped charge. At moment of action of detonation products of leading shaped charge on protecting shield the latter is propped up by inertial body with subsequent release of inertial body and its movement towards basic shaped charge along guiding conduit. Characteristic feature of tandem ammunition lies in location of intermediate compartment with central conduit coated on side of leading shaped charge by protective shield between shaped charges. Protective shield has inertial body placed in central conduit of intermediate compartment. Inertial body is fitted with attachment and separation system. EFFECT: enhanced combat efficiency thanks to increased armor piercing capability of tandem ammunition. 5 cl, 4 dwg
