FIELD: storage of large-sized freights. SUBSTANCE: method consists in installation of freight on transfer-car located on hoisting platform found inside cylindrical body with band screw attached over its perimeter and carrying platform; transfer of platform together with freight along vertical up to level of storage and subsequent horizontal transportation of freight to cell. Platform together with freight is hoisted by rotation of cylindrical body round vertical axis with stabilization of translational motion of hoisting platform. Then with alignment of horizontal axis of hoisting platform with axis of loading aperture of cylindrical body, rotation of cylinder is discontinued, hoisting platform is braked. Clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of cylindrical body is started again with hoisting platform stopped in it up to its turn through angle from 0 to 90 deg. Rotation of cylindrical body is stopped against preset cell, hoisting platform is connected with cell and transfer-car with freight is moved into this cell. Multistory storage of freights is building with radially arranged cells with guide rails, and hoisting-and-distributing device made in the form of cylindrical body with band screw on which hoisting platform with transfer-car rests. Platform also has guide rails and drive. Storage is made in the form of three concentrically arranged cylindrical bodies with cells located on storeys between external ones. Band screw with hoisting platform and transfer-car are mounted in internal cylindrical body installed separately from the first two cylindrical bodies. Hoisting-and-distributing device is additionally provided with mechanisms for stopping hoisting platform and its orientation in plane of storey, and drive rotating the internal cylinder body. Mechanisms of platform stopping, its orientation and rotation of cylindrical body have common drive. Internal cylindrical body is connected with cells by means of folding platforms installed for joining of hoisting platform with cell for freight storage.
