FIELD: ammunition for rifled automatic weapon. SUBSTANCE: ring cartridge includes bullet, cap, wad-case and powder charge. Bullet is manufactured either in the form of ring with aerodynamic profile or package of rings placed one after another. Powder charge is located inside rings in wad-case. Cap can be positioned either on free end of rod linked to wad-case or in case arranged in tail part of cartridge. EFFECT: increased gyroscopic moment of rotary inertia and enhanced stopping action of bullet owing to increase of caliber. 3 cl, 2 dwg
