Changeable hollow shell made of inert insulating material is tightly fitted to lamp window to form ionization chamber together with the latter. Chamber accommodates polarizing electrode and collecting electrode. Shell has slot open on lamp window side to receive carrier gas inlet tube communicating with column and installed in slot in a spaced relation to its walls.
