FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of carnallite producing and can be used for production of metallic magnesium. Method involves mixing the heated concentrated solutions containing magnesium chloride and obtained in the underground chamber for bischofite leaching with potassium chloride followed by the suspension cooling and its separation by filtration and the end product producing. In obtained mother liquor the spent electrolyte from magnesium production is dissolved at heating and the solution at temperature 100-115 C is fed to the underground chamber leaching for its clarification and saturation with magnesium chloride. Potassium chloride is taken for mixing with the heated concentrated solution from the underground chamber leaching at amount providing mass ratio in potassium and magnesium chlorides solution MgCl2 : KCl = (3.2-7.9):1 and electrolyte is fed for dissolving as the dried milled matter or in the melted state. Invention ensures to obtain artificial carnallite corresponding to requirements for metallic magnesium producing. EFFECT: simplified process. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex
