SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of extraction of ethyl chloride from exhaust gases in ethyl chloride production by catalytic hydrochlorination of ethylene by its absorption at decreased temperature from minus 10 to minus 39 C and the following desorption. Vat residues of crude ethyl chloride from the rectification stages are used as an absorbent. EFFECT: decreased cost, increased effectiveness of the absorption. 1 tbl
