FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: method is implemented via catalytic hydrochlorination of acetylene contained in pyrolysis gas. Effluent gas containing hydrogen and carbon oxides is withdrawn from top part of absorber and routed to ammonia or methanol synthesis. Methanol is used in vinyl chloride absorption isolation process. Absorber vat product, which is vinyl chloride-enriched methanol, is subjected to two-step desorption. Gas stream coming from first-step desorber is returned into bottom part of absorber. Volume ratio of the first-step desorber gas stream to desorber-feeding absorbate is (0.35-1.85):1. First-step desorber vat product is passed into top part of the second-step desorber, wherein vinyl chloride desorption is completed. Vinyl chloride after rectification is obtained as commercial product. EFFECT: enabled polymerization purity vinyl chloride production. 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 6 ex
