FIELD: transport engineering; tractors and like vehicles. SUBSTANCE: power takeoff mechanism has two-step transmission installed in housing. Driving gear of transmission is coupled with input shaft, and driven gear, with change output shaft. mechanism has also hydraulically controlled friction clutch whose input member is made in form of splined sleeve with fitted on driving disks, and output member is made in form of drum with piston forming friction clutch booster, and driven disks coupled with change driven shaft. Splined sleeve of input member has flexible plate with control projections on end face surface installed inside. Drum of output member had pistons with ring grooves installed in blind holes made on drum end face parallel to drum axis. Ring change-over channel and piston control space intercoupled by spring-loaded valve are intersected by above-indicated blind holes. Piston control space is coupled with friction clutch booster. Change-over ring channel provides connection of booster with drain. EFFECT: provision of smooth starting, prevention of breakdown of power takeoff mechanism at starting of heavy vehicles. 3 dwg
