FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: bearing support unit has housing 36, two bearing supports 16 and 18 which support turbomachine shaft 12. Housing 36 has three parts: first part 44, second part 46 and third part 48. First part 44 of housing has section 50 of wall installed in axial direction opposite to turboflow, and in radial direction outwards to housing 40 of turbomachine. Wall 70 of second part 46 of bearing support housing is installed in axial direction opposite to turboflow from outer race 26 of output bearing 18. Third part 48 has wall 80 installed in axial direction opposite to turboflow, and in radial direction inwards relative to housing 40. Flexible front part 50 and rigid rear part 46 provide unique combination of properties ensuring normal operation of engine and safety in case of sudden violation of rotor balance.
