FIELD: mechanical engineering; delivering of high pressure gases. SUBSTANCE: working wheels 25 placed in tandem relative to flow are secured on one or several gear-shafts 6 arranged in parallel to each other. Gear-shafts 6 are set into operation by means of central gear 5 or through gear-shafts on circumference of central gear 5. Two or more working wheels 25 of compressor are mounted in zone of high pressure stages II and III on gear-shaft 6 in similar direction of flow with intermediate cutting in of disk diffuser 9. Intercooler 24 is placed between intermediate outlet housing 13 and intermediate suction branch pipe 4. Similar arrangement of stages Ia, IIa, IIIa is used in radial expander at opposite direction of gas flow. EFFECT: increased efficiency and pressure without increasing part of rotor projecting relative to support of gear-shaft at constant rotational frequency. 6 cl, 5 dwg
