GEAR TESTING STABILITY OF MODELS OF BUILT-UP FRAME STRUCTURES WITH PLIABLE UNITS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear is designed for mechanical testing of models of built-up frame structures with pliable units for stability. Usage of gear makes it feasible to obtain more complete physical similarity of work of model under load with work of built-up construction structure of frame type. Gear has base, fixtures to anchor column and collar beams of model and measurement jigs. It also includes set of loading fixtures composed of separable cantilever beams, split cross-pieces and cramps to join collar beams. One ends of separable beams are made fast with end faces to cross-pieces put on columns of model , their other ends with rolling-contact bearings are located in grooves of supports. Cramps in their turn screwed to collar beams are joined to cross-pieces with the aid of inserts in the form of plates with stopping protrusions and by means of pre-stressed springs mounted for angular movement while model is loaded. Cross-pieces make it possible to load models with vertical loads without any eccentricity to columns. Cramps linked to cross-pieces by means of joints provide for pliable connection of collar beams to columns in points of their adjoining. EFFECT: provision for more complete physical similarity of work of model under load with work of built-up construction structure of frame type. 6 dwg
