FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: device can be used for cleaning internal surface of pump-compressor pipes from asphalt-resin, paraffin and hydrate depositions, in particular at recovery oil and gas from well drilled in permafrost zone. Device has body, electric heating element with current-conducting cable. Body of device is made in the form of hollow hermetically closed current-conducting cylinder having head-piece on its lower working end. Internal space of body is filled with salt solution, alkali solution or acidic solution in which immersed is current conducting rod which is isolated from body. External surface of rod repeats configuration of internal surface of head-piece of hollow hermetically closed current-conducting cylinder. To ensure effective and intensive heating of body walls, current-conducting rod isolated from body contains through its entire length periodically alternating metal protrusions. External surface of these metal protrusions repeats configuration of internal surface of body walls. For advancing device in horizontal direction through center of oil pipeline or pump-compressor pipes, upper part of device is provided with centralizer which is installed in bearings. Application of aforesaid embodiment of device allows for carrying out speedy and effective cleaning of internal surface of pump-compressor pipes in oil and gas wells, also cleaning pipelines laid in horizontal position.
