FIELD: heat and mass-exchange processes; structural members of heat- and mass-exchange apparatus, for example, evaporating cooling towers; cooling devices for water-circulating systems of enterprises at direct contact of media. SUBSTANCE: cooling tower sprinkler consists of lattice sheets in form of continuous wave; corrugations of sheets are made at angle relative to edges of sheets; frames and rigidity strips are provided over perimeter and along middle horizontal; during assembly, sheets from equidistant waves in plan; angle of inclination of corrugations relative to vertical is determined by arc tangent of ratio of pitch of corrugations to height of sprinkler and ranges from 8 to 10 deg; ratio of height of corrugations to width of their base ranges from 0.40 to 0.45. Besides that, corrugations of adjacent sheets are located in similar direction in height of sprinkler; corrugations of adjacent sheets may be oriented at angle relative to each other in height of sprinkler; in case of contact of sheets, passages are formed in height of sprinkler over ridges of corrugations.
