FIELD: agriculture and agricultural chemistry. SUBSTANCE: determination of absolute content of movable phosphorus in soil is based on periodically revealing capacity of soil to displace mobilize phosphorus over separate layers and, in sum, over all layers of soil cut optimal for diagnostics. Diagnostics and control of phosphorus nutrition of plants are based on using quantitative standards reflecting time variation of absolute content of movable phosphorus in given soil section caused by man-made and plant vital activity effects. Estimation of phosphorus fertilization system is based on determining balance of movable phosphorus in given soil section which is accomplished by periodically performing chemical analyzes of soil or, annually, using quantitative standards. EFFECT: 2-3-fold increased accuracy in determining reserves of movable phosphorus in soil.
