CYCLONE SCRUBBER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: protection of air basin against contamination with industrial wastes in form of solid dispersed particles and toxic gas admixtures; chemical and petrochemical industries, metallurgy, power engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: scrubber includes vertical cylindrical shell, tangential branch pipe for delivery of gas to be cleaned from below and discharge of cleaned gas at the top, injector for dispersing and smoothly distributing the absorbent over cross section of shell; injector is made in form of upper and lower vertical cones between which guide disk with tangential arch slots is secured; absorbent is fed to upper cone and revolving absorbent is discharged through conical hole in lower cone. Innovation of invention consists in injector with guide disk and tangential arch slots with convexity directed downward and reflecting cone under injector for directing the jet of dispersed absorbent on walls of shell.
