FIELD: different industries; repair and restoration of heat exchanger equipment. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of removal of tubes, mainly from tube plates of rigid heat exchangers, tool is fitted in tube hole and is fixed in tube after which tube is removed by moving the tool axially in direction from face surface of tube plate. Novelty is that rod with tip is used as working tool, and this tool is fixed in tube by applying axial force to external ring surface of part of tube end face in direction to face surface of tube plate with forming of thickening. Then tube is removed after fixing the thickening between application of axial forces. EFFECT: preservation of geometrical sizes of holes in tube plates, provision of high capacity of repair. 3 dwg
