SUBSTANCE: chord coder used for data processing systems to implement hardware of digital computers and discrete automatic machines has coding locations each incorporating switching cell, first and second rectifying cells, and controlled switching cell. Triangular switching matrix of connector cells is connected to polling lines. Signal one applied to additional input of coder is branched off in connector cell and arrives at data input in the form of input signal. Arriving at coder outputs are code of column initiated by left-hand one of input code and code of column initiated by right-hand one of input code.
