FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that internal surface of contact lens is wetted with 25 mcl (0.025 ml) of 0.2-0.3-% solution of florescent which is prepared on basis if 0.5-1.0-% aqueous solution of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose. Then lens is applied to eye and correct selection is evaluated by biomicroscopic method. Use of the method reduces time for selection of lenses by an order of magnitude due to application of dyeing solution of high viscosity with lower concentration of dye which produces plastic optically clear film on cornea surface properly contacting the surface of cornea and conjunctiva, and reduced consumption of expensive imported dye. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
