FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: fluorinated polymers having thermoplastic elastomeric properties containing in macromolecule perfluoropolyoxyalkylene units of formula: -CF₂O-(CF₂CF₂O)_m-(CF₂O)_n-CF₂- (I) with average molecular weight of 500-10,000 wherein m and n are such that m/n ratio is 0.2-5 are prepared by reacting one or more condensation monomers having functionality of 2 with perfluoropolyoxyalkylene having functionality of 1.97-2 of formula: ZCF₂O-(CF₂CF₂O)_m-(CF₂O)_n-CF₂Z (II), wherein Z is reactive group capable of being polycondensed with monomers. Fluorinated polymers have average molecular weight of at least by 50% greater than weight of corresponding polymers.
