FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method relates to driving underground workings with use of cutter-loader machines. Operation of such machines is often made difficult due to instability of crossing rock matter which prevents feed mechanism from developing required force. This is especially telling in ascending workings. At descending operations, manifested is sliding of machine towards cut face. With purpose of increasing efficiency in operation of cutter-loader machines and widening areas of their application it is advisable to apply additional thrust force to work face from drilling machine or other feed mechanism which is transmitted by non-rotating frame pivotally connected to body of cutter-loader machine. As cutter-loader machine advances, new links can be included in frame. At substantial length and also at curvilinearity of underground working feed device must be repositioned. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
