FIELD: shipbuilding; design of ships used for docking/undocking the ships. SUBSTANCE: tug has flat elliptical bottom at large ratio of width and length to ensure small draft. It has two Z drive devices located diagonally opposite longitudinal axis of bottom. Each drive device is adapted for rotation through 360 deg around its central shaft. Tug is provided with pair of skegs located over entire length of hull along center line of longitudinal axis of mainly flat bottom. Skegs are located beyond Z-drive devices, thus enhancing maneuverability and stability on course. According to preferable version, flat bottom has bent edges and parallel sides; it is made with longitudinal and transversal symmetry. Hull has constant broadening between flat bottom and section of buffer, thus ensuring motion of ship in any direction and enhancing her stability. Skegs extend beyond drive devices protecting them and giving support for hull when ship is brought into dry dock. According to alternating version, use may be made of system of cycle drive instead of Z-drive devices. EFFECT: improved maneuverability; possibility of application of full motion force in any direction. 19 cl, 6 dwg
