FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a steering control mechanism for turning manoeuvres of a shallow-draught container ship. The container ship comprises an outer hull containing a bow, a stern and a container compartment having mutually opposite sides passing between the bow and stern, with the bow containing a plurality of dependent side thrusters. The first engine is located along the longitudinal centre line of the outer casing. The second engine is located behind the first engine and outside the longitudinal centre line of the outer casing. The third engine is located behind the first engine and outside the longitudinal centre line of the outer casing opposite the second engine. The first and the second motors define the first longitudinal flow channel on one side of the longitudinal centre line of the outer housing, and the first and third motors define the second longitudinal flow channel on the opposite side of the longitudinal centre line of the outer housing.
EFFECT: increased manoeuvrability of navigation on shallow waterways at high speed is achieved.
