FIELD: methods of treatment of apparatuses and articles made of metal structural materials designed for operation in solution of hydrogen peroxide; applicable in chemical industry and in other fields of engineering involved in handling of hydrogen peroxide. SUBSTANCE: method includes degreasing, mechanical cleaning of surface and passivation in solution of hydrogen peroxide. Mechanical cleaning is effected by pneumoabrasive treatment at jet pressure of 0.1-0.6 MPa and abrasive angle of attack of 45-90 deg at distance from treated surface of 50-300 mm. Abrasive material is used in the form of material containing at least 98% of aluminum with grain size of main fraction of 60-500 mcm. EFFECT: improved technical and economic and ecological indices of process due to increased quality of mechanical cleaning of surface. 1 tbl
