FIELD: solid-propellant rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: charge consists of grains; lateral armored surfaces of grains form acute angle in cross section; non-armored parts are truncated forming central passage of faceted shape. In cross section, grains are figures inscribed in rhomb whose apex angle is equal to , where "n" is integer. Grains are stacked from center of change to its periphery in such way that truncated non-armored parts form passages. Construction of charge ensures preset dependence of burning surface against dome S (e) at maximum permissible filling coefficient of combustion chamber and retaining after-burning fuel remainder due to multi-grain construction of charge with grains of definite shape in cross section and due to partially armored lateral surfaces.
