FIELD: steam generating plants. SUBSTANCE: boiler unit has vertical shell filled to the top with liquid heat carrier whose wall is made from capillary-porous hydrophilic material with radial orientation of through pores; source of thermal energy is located inside shell. Effective diameter of pores is calculated by formulae on the condition of position of interphase across the whole with of capillary-porous wall by pressure of steam in boiler. Outer surface of wall is coated with lyophobic permeable coat. EFFECT: intensification of steam generation due to hydrophilic material of wall; possibility of selecting of required rating of boiler unit due to determination of effective diameter by formulae. 2 cl, 1 dwg
