FIELD: fast reactors. SUBSTANCE: method involves selection of processes in which feedwater flow (Gfw) naturally changes due to operation of automatic water flow regulators in steam separating drums without introducing special disturbances and which meet following conditions: Gfw is stabilized before and after its change within two minutes with safety system rods being motionless. Safety system rods are not weighed. Power reactivity coefficient is determined by displacement of safety system rods during automatic control of energy distribution in reactor. For determining steam reactivity coefficient, neutron power, Gfw, pressure within separating drums, and water temperature in suction header are continuously recorded.
