FIELD: controlling parameters of reactor plant.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for evaluating degree of engagement between telescopic joint of upper path and graphite column flange of pressure-tube reactor used in checking, diagnosing, and predicting operations with process channel path assembly upon reactor running for many years at intensive neutron radiation and high temperature aimed at extending life period of reactor includes exposure of telescopic joint to alternating electromagnetic field; catching of response signal; determination of elevations of butt-ends of parts being joined followed by checking degree of engagement. Changes in specific electrical conductance of metal are recognized by response signal, and degree of engagement is evaluated by distance between these changes.
EFFECT: enhanced safety and operating reliability, as well as extended life period of reactor plant.
