SUBSTANCE: device has current source passing direct current through detector, switch for selective switching of current source, comparison unit for comparison of potential difference on detector against reference voltage and output of control signal, control unit for control of switch in response to control signal, and units for measurement of time during which said switching signal has first logical level for given time interval in order to provide output signal which corresponds to reading of average current which passes detector.
