FIELD: roentgenology for bringing- up of images of orthopantomograms differing in quality to a single standard. SUBSTANCE: shooting and photographic processing of X-ray photographs is performed at observation of all physico-technical conditions of these processes. Preliminarily an aluminium standard measuring 2x9 cm, 1 mm thick, is introduced in a metal magazine, 3 cm from its lower right-hand edge. Three qualitative X-ray photographs are selected and alternately scanned at the same illuminance of the negatoscope and scanning device, introduced in the computer. The computed average density of graphic representation of the aluminium plate on three X-ray photographs is taken as a criterion of quality of X-ray photographs.
