METHOD OF RECONDITIONING OF MACHINE PARTS MADE OF HIGH- STRENGTH STEELS AND TOOL FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2136470 C1

FIELD: technology of machine parts reconditioning; applicable in repair of machine parts made of high-strength steels in various branches of mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in heat treatment of machine parts for removal of residual stresses with subsequent machining in critical zones (rejuvenation) carried out not later than after expiration of 0.3-0.5 their actual service life with cutting rate exceeding 1500 m/min and use of special tool and repeated hardening of zones by machining. Tool consists of electromechanical cutting part and electronic control unit, which together with electric motor and switch comprise tool electric drive. Introduced into electronic control unit is signal shaper for withdrawal of tool, device for formation of speed signal, device for comparison of speeds of formed signal with value preset by operator. Introduced into electronic control unit may be voltage regulator, and into electromechanical cutting part of tool, light indicator for warning on necessity of tool withdrawal. Claimed technology of machine parts reconditioning with use of high-speed electric tools makes it possible to exclude thermodynamic effect on treated surface, to improve surface finish and to maintain cutting stability within required speed, and to provide automatic control for machining conditions and to increase service life of machine part after repair. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 2 dwg
