FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed drive comprises electric power source connected to reservoir capacitor. AC motor drive consists of rotor with permanent magnets and stator with three-phase windings. Additional winding is connected in series with every winding of stator, while connection points of aforesaid windings are connected to rectifier output terminals. Aforesaid rectifier and inverter are incorporated with controlled converter. Power source ON, inverter power keys are switched in compliance with control unit output signals. Automobile runs with controlled speed set by inverter control unit. "Brake" instruction received, controller sends control signals to rectifier. Recuperation current flows to reservoir capacitor. Current flowing in windings generates braking moment, while braking energy is transferred into reservoir capacitor that gets charged to voltage exceeding that of power source. Braking over, accumulated power is used for vehicle run.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, simplified design and ease of manufacture.
