FIELD: wind-power engineering; gearless windmills using wind energy for electric power generation. SUBSTANCE: unit in which wind flow reaction is uniformly transmitted from windwheel blades to air turbine and which dispenses with mechanical torque converters has horizontal shaft mounting windwheel with hollow blades incorporating air intakes and controlled by electric generator, as well as air turbine; according to invention, unit is provided with air valves actuated by control system and used to provide communication between blade spaces and air turbine; windwheel blades are joined by means of slings with horizontal shaft that mounts revolving central bearing; blade spaces are made in the form of at least two longitudinal ducts. EFFECT: reduced mass and facilitated installation of unit. 7 dwg
