Abstract RU 2137150 C1

FIELD: determination of position by received digital telephone signals sent by number of base transceiving stations. SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes pair of receiving stations, base receiver and mobile receivers, one being in known position and the other one - on mobile object, position determining processor and aid transmitting communication signal from each receiving station to position determining processor. Communication signal includes information on signal received by receiving station from radio transmission sources. Each of receiving station is tuned for practically simultaneous reception of signals from corresponding radio transmission sources. Position determining processor is tuned so that it compares information received from one receiving station with information received from the other receiving station to determine time delay between corresponding signals received by both receiving stations to find position of mobile object.
