FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: reversing prism is made of right-angle prism with canopy and triangular prism bonded to it. Two reflections from flat faces occur in both component prisms. Angle between flat faces of right-angle prism is equal to 30 deg and angles of triangular prism are equal correspondingly to 30, 120 and 30 deg. Beam passing along normal to input flat face of right-angle prism comes out along normal to output face of triangular prism with maintenance of direction of optical axis. EFFECT: generation of fully reversed image with simultaneous reduction of dimension between input and output faces and length of path of beam in prism. 1 dwg
