FIELD: entertainment games. SUBSTANCE: method involves production of panel which carries graphical image of alphanumeric characters using set of segments which shape is same as game tokens of this set, and production of characters from game tokens of set in same way as graphic image of these characters on panel. Number of segments of set is equal to number of game tokens. Graphic images of alphanumeric characters which use set of segments are arranged in rows on panel. In each row, characters are arranged in sequence according to which each next character is produced by means of one or two operations with segments of set. Set of game tokens comprises small rectangular members, middle rectangular members, large rectangular members, C-shaped members, and U-shaped members. Characters according to their graphic image on panel are made from set of game tokens by means of one or two operations with game tokes of set. Play set which implements said method has at least one panel which carries graphic image of alphanumeric characters, which are made from sets of segments, which shape is defined in description of method. Graphic image of characters on panel is arranged in several letters or digits in each row.
