Computer-readable data medium contains instructions, prescribing computing device to execute an operating system, providing functional capabilities of semantic zoom of semantic zoom module to a plurality of applications on device through one or more application programming interfaces (API) for presenting content, specified by each of plurality of applications, wherein providing comprises: receiving by semantic zoom module content from application on computing device; abstraction, by means of one or more of said API, of content in form of content images, containing varying levels of detail, without user intervention for determining said content images; sending semantic zoom module said content images with level of detail, in order to provide display by said application of said images with given level of detail in user interface.

EFFECT: technical result is providing adjustment of presentation of content by semantic zoom.
